Buchholz Drum Line, Percussion and Steel Drum Ensembles
Membership in the Percussion program at Buchholz High School includes performance in drumline or front ensemble, concert percussion ensembles, steel drum ensembles, and concert bands. Emphasis is placed on the development of rudimentary skills for drumline, concert percussion, and steel pan technique. Students are required to participate in ensembles that are formed within the required Percussion Techniques class to perform at Solo & Ensemble Assessments and recitals. All percussionists are assigned to one of the three Concert Ensembles and rehearse with their respective groups after school.BDL MEMBERSHIP
- Based on audition in the spring, grades, and attitude
- Members are required to take the Percussion Techniques class at Buchholz High School
- Attendance at BHS Marching Band Camp 3 weeks prior to the start of school is required
- After-school rehearsals
- Payment of annual fee. Fundraising activities are provided.
- Demonstrate discipline and responsibility
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
