Top Officers with Best Music, Visual, GE caption awards (Nov. 20, 2010)

BUCHHOLZ WINS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEMIFINALS!
The Golden Regiment made school history at the 2010 State Marching Band Championship by sweeping the Semifinals major caption awards for the first time ever - those awards included:

Best Music Performance
Best Visual Performance
Best General Effect Performance

Buchholz qualified for the evening Finals performance having won the Championship Semifinals with a score of 89.47. With a completely different judging panel, it was a very close finish at the end of the Championship Finals performances - only .6 separated the top three 4A bands in the state! When all tabulations were completed, Buchholz was named the FMBC State 2nd Runner-up Band with a score of 85.60 behind 1st Runner-up Lake Howell (85.65) and State Champion Cypress Creek (86.25). A well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS to the Golden Regiment for winning all 3 caption awards at State Semifinals and having another OUTSTANDING season!!!


Top Officers after Grand Championship at FMBC Regional

ANOTHER GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP!
The Golden Regiment won another Grand Championship with a season-high score of 89.90 at its final Regional prior to the State Championship. Buchholz earned the highest scores of the day in Ensemble Music, General Effect Music, Individual Music, Ensemble Visual, and Individual Visual. In addition, the Golden Regiment won the open-class finals awards for Best Music, Best Visual, and Best Auxiliary with a score of 92!


Top Officers after Grand Championship at Southern Showcase (Oct. 30, 2010)

GRAND CHAMPIONS AGAIN!
The Golden Regiment won the Grand Championship at the Southern Showcase of Champions for a second consecutive year! In addition to earning an all-time high score of 89.75, Buchholz garnered multiple caption awards including: Best Music, Best Woodwinds, Best General Effect, and Best Percussion. The Golden Regiment earned Distinguished Superior ratings (the highest possible) in all categories.

Top Officers at Timber Creek Regional (Oct. 16, 2010)

The Golden Regiment made a statement in central Florida on October 16th outscoring all but one band (Lake Howell) at the FMBC Regional in Orlando. Buchholz won 1st Place in Music and took 2nd Place overall with a score of 84.80, just .6 out of 1st Place! With high Superior ratings in all categories, including Distinguished Superior ratings in Music and Percussion, Buchholz qualified for the State Championships to be held in the Tropicana Dome next month! Congratulations Golden Regiment!
